Welcome back on the blog and welcome to a new blog post. As you might have noticed, this blog post did not go live on Thursday but on Friday and from now on it will remain this way. But now let’s head right into the topic and pick up where we left last week. In the previous blog post, I told you everything about Whale Watching near the San Juan Islands, but of course, this was not the only thing on the itinerary of the road trip regarding Washington, and I’ll tell you everything about the most beautiful places in Oregon as well.
Read MoreWelcome back, and after last weeks introduction into the whole road trip series, I hope you are ready for some content on the actual trip. The first experience I want to tell you about is the whale watching trip we made at the San Juan Islands. So buckle up and let’s get right into this!
Read MoreWelcome back to the blog after a little “summer break”. It lasted a bit longer than I initially expected it to, but with all the travels, there was not as much time left as I anticipated. But now, summer is (nearly) over, and I’m ready to start again. The list of blog posts in the making is long, as is the list of things I experienced this summer, so I decided to use my time waiting for my flight to depart from Seoul, South Korea to bring me home and start right away. The biggest tip of this summer – and my life so far! – was undoubtedly the road trip through Western America. I made lots of experiences, and I value them all, good and bad. It was the first time I ever rented a car abroad (despite one time in Italy, but that was only for a few hours, so it does not really count) and there are a few things I noticed in the US.
Read MoreIt’s Thursday, so welcome back on the blog and to another week with another blog post waiting for you. If you are following my Instagram or kept track of the previous blog posts you know I’m currently in the US and have just started my road trip – well, I hope I have, as I am writing this and some of the following posts in advance. I was well aware that during this trip I won’t have too much time to write, so I prepared as much as I could beforehand. This week I am going to tell you all about the trip I made about a month ago with my best friend: Cyprus.
Read MoreGood morning guys and welcome back. Last week I started telling you a bit about my short but sweet stay in Stockholm and this week I’m continuing to do so. I am going to continue exactly where I stopped last time, so be prepared to read all about the following days in Sweden.
Read MoreIt’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another blog post. As you might have noticed, I’ve been quite on the run the last few weeks, and I’ve visited some very cool places. This week I want to start telling you all about my short but fun trip to the Swedish capital Stockholm. It was my first time in Scandinavia, but I already know it won’t be my last time!
Read MoreHappy Thursday and welcome back on the blog! Last week, I decided to take a little break as it’s been quite stressful coming back from my travels, prepare blogposts and additionally, I was a bit sick, or at least not feeling my best after rushing from one place to another. But today, I am back with the final part about my road trip through southern Italy last year.
Read MoreAfter having been to Naples, Pompeii and Ischia, I dropped my friends off at the station, and later picked up another one, with whom I continued my trip. We headed on to Bari, which was our base for the next days full of exploring Puglia, according to many, the most beautiful part of Italy.
Read MoreGood morning and happy Thursday. Right now, I’m on my way to the airport, heading to Cyprus for a vacation with my best friends, so be prepared for lots of pictures on Instagram (finally again, as I’ve been very busy the last 2 weeks). Today, a new part of the little series where I tell you everything about my 6 months in Italy is ready for you, and I’m continuing right where I stopped last week by telling you about my road trip through Southern Italy, and this time it’s all about Pompeii and Ischia. I know we’re not quite “southern” yet, but rather in central Italy, but don’t worry, the road trip covered that as well.
Read MoreI might start with the most important fact – no, Naples is not particularly safe regarding pickpockets and getting robbed. Also, I wouldn’t recommend driving in the city, as I did and even though I was used to the Italian way of driving, it was the most horrible experience you can imagine. Rules simply did not exist on the streets. But I guess that’s what makes Naples unique.
Read MoreWelcome back to my Berlin guide. Today, I’m going to tell you about all the other places I saw when visiting the city a month ago, and I want to emphasize once more that everything I tell you this time and told you last week is easily done in 3 days.
Read MoreLast month, I rather spontaneously went to Berlin. The main reason was that I wanted to watch the recording of one of my favourite TV-shows, and as it was just the weekend of Mother’s Day, I was not able to find anyone who would go there with me. But I decided not to let me be stopped by this and went alone. So now let me start right away with everything I’ve done during my three days in the German capital.
Read MoreWelcome back to my little series about the Italian capital. This time I’m focusing on some other main attractions of the city, as well as some personal favourites that might not be on everyone’s list. But enough talking and let’s get right into it!
Read MoreAll roads lead to Rome, right?
Well, I'm pretty sure you can imagine, that during my semester abroad in Italy, I frequently went to Rome, not only because it's a beautiful city and I have never been there before, but also because one of my best friends was doing her semester abroad there. When brainstorming on what places I should recommend you, my first thought was 'Everything?!' and therefore, this will only be part one of my series about the beautiful Italian capital.
Read MoreI am writing this blog post while sitting on the plane on my way back home from Berlin. There was another blog post planned for today, but in Berlin, I changed my mind. I took my trip alone, just like I did in Australia or Los Angeles and I realized, travelling solo can be so much fun, but it can also be hard.
Read MoreAfter having been to Brisbane and Sydney and loving these cities, I headed north to see some nature and visit the Great Barrier Reef. Afterwards, I went south to Melbourne before ending my trip. This is where I had a lot of bad luck, but on the other hand, everything turned out great as well.
Read MoreDespite what my friend told me, I had already enjoyed Brisbane very much, so when she told me Sydney was going to be way better, I had pretty high expectations. Due to a tight time schedule, I had about 5 days to spend there with my friend until I would continue my journey alone. Even though Sydney is the most popular of all Australian cities, it is not the capital of Australia, but still, it feels as if it were.
Read MoreAustralia was my first big trip alone, and by far the farthest I went away from home. But that's quite obvious, given the fact that there are hardly any places farther away from Europe than Australia. Of course, I was nervous before my trip. Would I be okay being completely alone? Would I get lonely? Would I be able to find anyone taking my picture? I was very uncertain, so when the day came, I had mixed feelings.
